PSSF
Promoting Safe and Stable Families
The primary goals of the PSSF program are to prevent the unnecessary separation of children from their families, Improve the quality of care and services to children
and their families, and ensure permanency of the family unit.
Assistance could be in the form of budgeting, short-term case management or assistance in linking you to other community resources. Limited/one-time financial assistance may also be available if the program criteria are met. Financial assistance may take up to two weeks if qualified. Assistance may cover car repairs, gas vouchers, rental assistance (in the case of eviction), utility assistance,
and possibly other types of financial assistance.
Requirements: Children living in the home and a source of income (employment, disability, child support)
Financial assistance is usually no more than $250.00

Upon completion of the application, it will be sent directly to the Verona
DSS office and will be reviewed. At that point, you will be contacted by the program director.
